Experimental Study on Breakthrough Separation for Hydrogen Recovery from Coke Oven Gas Using ZIF-8 Slurry

نویسندگان

چکیده

A large amount of COG (coke oven gas) is produced from coking plants every year, which contains 55–60% H2. In this work, the breakthrough separation H2 with ZIF-8/ethylene glycol-water slurry was studied. Following investigation (ab-ad)sorption isotherms single component gas CH4 and H2, main components coke gas, in different slurries their corresponding viscosities, influence operating conditions on dynamic performance CH4/H2 were studied a bubble column. Low temperature, inlet flow rate, high pressure, solid content can extend time, where longest time interval between be as long 70 min, meaning purity product could obtained easily. All results work prove feasibility method to separate mixture provide theoretical basis for practical industrial applications.

High selectivity ZIF-93 hollow fiber membranes for gas separation.

Zeolitic imidazolate framework-93 (ZIF-93) continuous membranes were synthesized on the inner side of P84 co-polyimide hollow fiber supports by microfluidics. MOFs and polymers showed high compatibility and the membrane exhibited H2-CH4 and CO2-CH4 separation selectivities of 97 (100 °C) and 17 (35 °C), respectively.

Syngas from CO2 Reforming of Coke Oven Gas: synergetic effect of activated carbon / Ni-γAl2O3 Catalyst

The CO2 reforming of coke oven gas for the production of synthesis gas has been studied over an activated carbon, an in-lab prepared Ni/Al2O3 catalyst and physical mixtures of both materials in different proportions (AC+Ni) at 800 oC. It was found that there are two possible coexisting reaction pathways: the direct dry reforming of methane (decomposition of methane followed by gasification of t...

Effects of coke oven emissions and benzo[a]pyrene on blood pressure and electrocardiogram in coke oven workers

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effects of occupational exposures to coke oven emissions (COEs) and benzo[a]pyrene (B[a]P) on the prevalence of hypertension and abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) in coke oven workers. METHODS We included 880 coke oven workers and 710 oxygen employees in the exposed and control groups, respectively. Blood pressure (BP), ECG, blood lipid levels, and glucose levels of a...

Mortality in retired coke oven plant workers.

A previous study on 536 retired coke oven plant workers in Lorraine Collieries (France) reported an excess of deaths from lung cancer (standardised mortality ratio (SMR) = 251) compared with the French male population. Occupational exposures during working life were retraced for each subject, but the number of deaths during the observation period (1963-82) was small, and smoking habits were kno...

Cancer mortality among coke oven workers.

The OSHA standard for coke oven emissions, which went into effect in January 1977, sets a permissible exposure limit to coke oven emissions of 150 micrograms/m3 benzene-soluble fraction of total particulate matter (BSFTPM). Review of the epidemiologic evidence for the standard indicates an excess relative risk for lung cancer as high as 16-fold in topside coke oven workers with 15 years of expo...
